Dr. Floyd Coleman, chairman of the James A. Porter Colloquium and member of NCA’s Board of Directors speaks at Howard University gathering.
Among the celebrated artists and scholars that were present at the James A. Porter Colloquium at Howard University was the great Georgette Powell.
E.J. Montgomery listens attentively to speakers at the forum.

Present at the Porter Colloquium were New Jersey based NCA artist Ben Jones and D.C.NCA member James Brown.

 

NCA’s queen mother, Dr. Margaret Taylor Goss Burroughs, is exhibiting her Portraits on Paper at the Aaron Galleries, 50 East Oak Street, thru June 27.

Scenes from the NCA Ghana 2002 Auction

NCA artists came out in their usual fashion to support the national auction to raise funds to enable a group of students to attend the 4th International NCA Conference in Ghana - July 17 - 26. Dedicated NCA members dug deep into their pockets to bid for the marvelous works. Top seller was an Elizabeth Catlett that was won in The battle of the night by Dr. Carolyn Maitland.
